Choghadiya Periods
Choghadiya divides day and night into segments ruled by planets. Each segment carries a quality that helps determine whether a moment is suitable for a given activity.
Day choghadiya (sunrise to sunset)

| Kaal | Obstruction | Avoid auspicious work |
The starting period depends on the weekday — Sunday begins with Udveg, Monday with Amrit, and so on.
Night choghadiya (sunset to sunrise)

How to use choghadiya

- Note the current choghadiya period
- Prefer Amrit, Shubh, and Labh for important actions
- Avoid Rahu Kaal and unfavorable periods for muhurat
