Empty Houses
Section titled “Empty Houses”You may notice you have no planets in some houses. Empty houses aren’t “bad”—they’re just not emphasized in your chart.
An empty 7th house doesn’t mean you won’t have relationships. It means relationships aren’t a major theme or challenge in your chart.
Empty 10th house means career isn’t as emphasized as someone with many planets in the 10th.
The houses with planets are where your focus and energy naturally go.
House Cusps and Signs
Section titled “House Cusps and Signs”Each house has a sign on its cusp (the beginning of the house). The sign on the house cusp affects how that house expresses itself.
Aries on 5th House cusp: Your creativity is bold and pioneering. Romance is adventurous.
Cancer on 10th House cusp: Your career involves care or family. You lead through nurturing.
Aquarius on 7th House cusp: Your partnerships are unusual. You value independence in relationships.
Angles and Houses
Section titled “Angles and Houses”Four houses are particularly powerful:
1st House (Ascendant): Your self and how people see you 4th House (Imum Coeli): Your home, family, roots 7th House (Descendant): Your partnerships and relationships 10th House (Midheaven): Your career and public image
Planets in these four “angle” houses have extra power.
Using House Placements
Section titled “Using House Placements”Look at your chart and see which houses have planets. Those are your life focus areas:
Many planets in 10th house: Career is very important Many planets in 7th house: Relationships are very important Many planets in 9th house: Travel, learning, and philosophy are important Planets spread evenly: You balance many life areas
This helps you understand where your energy naturally goes and where you might need to consciously focus.
