Using Planetary Placements
Section titled “Using Planetary Placements”Your personal planets show your complete personality:
Sun in Leo, Moon in Cancer, Mercury in Virgo, Venus in Libra, Mars in Scorpio:
You’re a confident, creative leader (Sun Leo) who’s emotionally sensitive (Moon Cancer), thinks analytically (Mercury Virgo), loves thoughtfully and values harmony (Venus Libra), and pursues what you want intensely (Mars Scorpio).
Understanding where each planet sits helps you see:
- How you naturally think and communicate
- What attracts you
- How you pursue goals
- Where you might have conflict
- Your complete psychological makeup
Retrograde Planets
Section titled “Retrograde Planets”Sometimes planets appear to move backward in the sky. This is called retrograde motion—it’s an optical illusion, but it affects astrology.
Retrograde planets are considered weaker or more internalized. Mercury retrograde (communication delays), Venus retrograde (relationship confusion), Mars retrograde (difficulty asserting yourself).
If you were born with a retrograde planet, that energy is more internal or indirect.
