Ketu (South Node): Release, Spirituality, and Past Lives
Ketu is the opposite point from Rahu. Where Rahu is what you’re chasing, Ketu is what you’re releasing. Where Rahu is the shadow, Ketu is transcendence.
Ketu (the South Node in Western astrology) is about completion, spirituality, and what you already know—sometimes too well. It represents gifts from past lives that are so natural you don’t think about them. It’s also where you can get stuck in comfort, forgetting to grow.
If Rahu pulls you forward into new experiences, Ketu pulls you inward into wisdom you already possess.

Many astrologers see the Rahu/Ketu axis as your soul’s intention for this lifetime. Rahu is what you’re meant to develop; Ketu is what you’re meant to let go of.
The Danger of Ketu
Section titled “The Danger of Ketu”Ketu’s danger is escapism and avoidance. You can use spirituality to run away from life’s challenges. You can use “detachment” as an excuse not to engage.
The gift of Ketu is real—but it must be integrated into life, not used to flee from it.
