The Center of Your Home
Section titled “The Center of Your Home”The center of your home is sacred in Vastu. It represents the heart and should be:
- Open and clear (not cluttered or dark)
- Well-lit naturally
- Free-flowing (not blocked or cramped)
- Ideally used as a gathering space or left empty
A cluttered or dark center creates blockages throughout the entire home.
Optimizing What You Have
Section titled “Optimizing What You Have”Not everyone can place rooms in ideal directions. But you can optimize:
South-facing bedroom instead of Southwest? That’s okay. Add earth-tone colors and grounding elements.
Kitchen in the North instead of Southeast? Compensate with bright lighting, earth tones, good ventilation.
Apartment in the East but can’t rearrange? Work with the natural East energy. It’s still beneficial.
The goal is alignment, not perfection.
Small Adjustments, Big Impact
Section titled “Small Adjustments, Big Impact”Even without major renovations, small adjustments create energy shifts:
- Add a water feature (fountain, bowl) in the North
- Place your bed’s head toward South (or as close as possible)
- Keep Northeast area clear and light
- Ensure East receives natural sunlight
- Declutter the center
- Keep main entrance clear and inviting
These small changes rebalance your space’s energy significantly.
